How KCASSA Commercial Divers collects, uses and protects personal information shared through this website.
Effective date: 14 October 2026.
1. Scope and responsible organisation
KCASSA COMMERCIAL DIVERS ("KCASSA", "we", "us"), Tanzania, is responsible for the personal information collected for its website, customer portal and marine-project enquiries. This notice is intended to explain our processing under Tanzania's Personal Data Protection Act, 2022 and applicable implementing regulations. It does not constitute a claim of regulatory registration or certification. Direct privacy requests to kcassacommercialdivers@gmail.com or +255 764 665 588.
2. Personal data we collect
(a) Identity and contact data: name, company, job role, email address, telephone number and country. (b) Project data: vessel or structure details, location, work description, urgency and documents you upload. (c) Account data: sign-in email, encrypted password credentials and account activity. (d) Communications: messages exchanged with our staff. (e) Technical data: limited network and device information required to secure the website and prevent abuse.
3. Why information is used
We use information to create and secure your account, assess your requested work, communicate about enquiries, prepare quotations, maintain project records and prevent misuse. Depending on the circumstances, processing is based on your consent, steps requested before a contract, performance of an agreed contract, a legal obligation, or another basis permitted by applicable Tanzanian law. Optional consent may be withdrawn without affecting processing lawfully completed before withdrawal. We do not sell your information or use the website's email service for marketing campaigns.
4. AI-assisted project briefs
The optional brief assistant sends the text and attachments you choose to an automated processing service to produce a draft. Do not submit passwords, payment credentials or sensitive personal information that is unnecessary to the project. Automated output may be inaccurate and requires review; it is not a safety assessment or authorisation to perform diving work. You may submit an enquiry without using the assistant.
5. Access and disclosure
Authorised operations and quotations staff can review project enquiries and documents. Company-content editors do not receive private enquiry access merely because they edit the website. Providers used for hosting, account authentication, storage, email and the optional assistant process the information needed for their respective functions. We may disclose records where required by a lawful request from a competent authority. Your customer account is restricted to its own records.
6. Processing outside Tanzania
Online hosting, email and automated-processing services may process information outside Tanzania. Applicable cross-border transfer requirements, including any required permissions and safeguards, must be satisfied. This notice does not itself establish that a particular transfer has received regulatory approval. Contact us before uploading material that must remain in Tanzania or is subject to confidentiality or localisation restrictions.
7. Keeping and deleting records
Records are retained for the purpose for which they were collected, applicable contractual or statutory obligations, and the resolution of disputes. No fixed retention period is promised by this notice. You may request deletion of an account or enquiry; records required by law or an unresolved dispute may need to be retained. Deletion requests are handled by KCASSA rather than automatically on closing a browser.
8. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures including encrypted connections, access controls, private document storage and role-based staff permissions. No online system is completely secure; please notify us promptly of any suspected misuse of your account.
9. Your rights
Subject to the law, you may request access to, correction or erasure of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commission of Tanzania. Contact us using the details in section 1 to exercise your rights.
10. Changes
We may amend this policy. The current version, with its effective date, is always published on this page.
11. Providing information about others
Submit another person's contact details or documents only where you are authorised to do so and have informed them of the purpose. The portal is intended for business enquiries and is not designed to collect children's personal information.
